Freightliner is the only rail freight operator with its own fleet of road vehicles. This means we can offer our customers the complete logistics package, 24/7 solutions and high quality service to ensure satisfaction at every step of the containers’ journey – from port to door.
We serve all major deep-sea ports, from 16 inland terminals, which is one of the reasons why we are one of the UK’s top five transporter and inland terminal operators of intermodal containers. We have over 180 vehicles and 380 trailers which allows us to deliver up to 1000 containers per day nationwide.
We invest heavily in safety and we are proud of our company’s target of zero-injuries.
Our parent company Genesee & Wyoming Inc. invests heavily in technology, paving the way for a secure, efficient and reliable service.
Our road fleet boasts:
- Front and side cameras
- Emergency brake technology
- Soft dock rear sensors
- Electronic tracking
Freightliner is committed to minimising our impact on the environment, which is why all of our vehicles meet or exceed the Euro 5/6 emission standards.
We are also committed to supporting our staff, including by providing outstanding training and development opportunities. We are able to focus on performance and service improvement at our dedicated G&W Road services training academy.
Our sister company, Pentalver, offers a comprehensive range of intermodal services, road haulage, storage, conversions and container sales.
