Terminal Crane - Liebherr 3-6-3

  • Description: Rail mounted goliath gantry crane manufactured by Liebherr in 2009 with two cantilver outreaches. Specifically designed to load ISO containers on/off rail wagons stabled within the span of the crane and road wagons under one cantilver, the other cantilever used for the storage of containers. Located at Birmingham and Manchester.
  • Rail span: 23.012m
  • S.W.L. under twistlocks: 40 tonnes
  • Lifting capacity: 20, 30, 40 and 45 foot containers at 25 lifts per hour

Terminal Crane - Aumund 0-4-1

  • Description: Rail mounted goliath gantry crane manufactured by Aumund in 1969 with one cantilver outreach. Specifically designed to load ISO containers on/off rail wagons stabled within the span of the crane and road wagons under the cantilver. Located at Leeds.
  • Rail span: 15.85m
  • S.W.L. under twistlocks: 40 tonnes
  • Lifting capacity: 20, 30, 40 and 45 foot containers at 15 lifts per hour

Terminal crane - Morris 0-4-0

  • Description: Rail mounted goliath gantry crane manufactured by Herbert Morris from 1968 to 1972, specifically designed to load ISO containers on/off rail and road wagons. Located at Coatbridge, Cleveland, Leeds, Cardiff and Southampton.
  • Rail span: 15.85m
  • S.W.L. under twistlocks: 30.0 to 38.0 tonnes
  • Lifting capacity: 20, 30, 40 and 45 foot containers at 13 lifts per hour

Terminal Crane Arrol 2-5-2

  • Description: Rail mounted goliath gantry crane manufactured by Sir William Arrol in 1969 with two cantilver outreaches. Specifically designed to load ISO containers on/off rail wagons stabled within the span of the crane and road wagons under one cantilver, the other cantilever used for the storage of containers. Located at Liverpool.
  • Rail span: 23.05m
  • S.W.L. under twistlocks: 32.0 tonnes
  • Lifting capacity: 20, 30, 40 and 45 foot containers at 13 lifts per hour
