Diageo Global Supply

Ron Fitzgerald         Diageo Global Supply

"The service levels provided have been exemplary."

"It has been six months since we were advised that Freightliner was to take over the local haulage element of our shipping contract with Evergreen Marine Corporation. This was a somewhat unexpected development and slightly concerning as we already had a long established working relationship with the previous haulier, and were concerned that the service levels we demand might well be compromised.
"These concerns have proved to be unfounded as the service levels provided have been exemplary, ever since the testing first day when we asked for twenty 40 foot units on the hour throughout the day! I have also had positive feedback from our security and warehouse staff commenting on how professional Freightliner drivers are when they arrive on site."

Jaguar

Bev Dabbs

"Ideally I would prefer to use Freightliner for ALL containers moved if this was possible, as they are more reliable than any other company we use."

"Freightliner has always been willing to help supply containers to us, help move urgent hot boxes and frequently give alternative advice which could be considered outside the 'call of duty'. Andrew Grant at Freightliner in particular is always the person we first think of here at Jaguar, when we have a major problem that could affect production. If there is a way, Andrew will pursue it. Ideally I would prefer to use Freightliner for ALL containers moved if this was possible, as they are more reliable than any other company we use."

"A consistent, reliable and professional manner."

CSAV

Michael Finn  Managing Director

In 2006, CSAV signed-up to dedicated Freightliner wagons covering movements to/from Leeds, Manchester and Birmingham. The company doubled its commitment to Birmingham in early 2007 and is presently reviewing the need for further increases. Today, CSAV is targeting 35% of its business by rail.

CSAV manages over 70,000 transport jobs per annum within the UK. In recent years it delivered consistent double digit growth and needed to plan ahead based on the further strong levels of growth being forecast. The company sought to ensure its transport policies, practices and supporting infrastructure provided the right opportunity for the business.

In 2005, working in partnership with its preferred haulage supplier, CSAV entered into an understanding with Freightliner that was intended to eventually see 25% of its business being routed by rail. Systems were realigned to ensure the dedicated transport team, also now consisting of a Freightliner operator, had total visibility and understanding of customer transport orders as received. Jobs most suited, and system released to rail, could instantly be uploaded into the Freightliner booking system.  The early selection and control of the rail routed jobs ensured the company's planned rail share objectives were soon realised.
